2018-2019 Basketball Calendar
ALL DATES TENTATIVE
K-3rd Grade League
Registration will open Monday, October 22nd
- Registration deadline: December 8th
- Scholarship deadline: December 8th
- Late registration deadline: December 15th
- Games begin on or after January 19th
- Games end by Fayetteville Public School's Spring Break
4th-8th Grade League
Registration will open Monday, September17th
- Registration deadline: October 20th
- Scholarship deadline: October 20th
- Late registration deadline: October 27th
- Games begin on or after November 17th
- Games end by: January 24th
Game days are primarily Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Teams will be school based using Fayetteville Schools. For a detailed explanation of how we select our coaches and make our teams please visit Procedure Handbook for Sports which can be found underneath "Forms" on the right side of the page.
K-1st Grade Basketball
Teams will play an 8 game season. Score is not kept and games are played in a 3 on 3 format using 8 foot goals on a short court.
2nd-3rd Grade Basketball
Teams will play an 8 game season. 2nd graders use 3 on 3 format with 8 foot goals and 3rd grade boys use 5 on 5 format with 10 foot goals, 3rd grade girls will use a 4 on 4 format and play on a 9 foot goal. Both leagues keep score and play on short courts.
4th-8th Grade Basketball
Teams will play a 9 game season with a guaranteed 2-game tournament at the end of the season. Teams will be school based using Fayetteville Schools.
Each player must have a membership to the Donald W. Reynolds Boys and Girls Club that will remain active for the duration of the program.
Program scholarships are available through the Boys and Girls Club of Fayetteville. For additional information please contact: Hayley Parker at 442-9242 x136.
The Donald W. Reynolds Boys & Girls Club welcomes anyone interested in coaching to fill out the section below. Coaches will be assigned by the Boys & Girls Club based on coaching philosophy, experience and tenure. Those who would like to coach together must have children that attend the same school.
Please be advised that if Fayetteville Public Schools close for inclement weather then the Boys & Girls of Fayetteville will also be closed. Please tune in to KNWA to verify closings.
